Falooda is an interesting dessert cum drink made with milk, rose syrup and vermicelli

Do you remember the first time you were asked to pair some peculiar looking white noodles and rose syrup with your kulfi? We are pretty sure half of you were skeptical, only until you actually tried it and fell in love with the combination. Kulfi-falooda is, in fact, a relatively new and interesting spin on falooda. Traditionally, falooda is a loaded drink-cum-dessert that is made with thickened milk, basil seeds, vermicelli and rose syrup. It may or may not have ice cream, it is a very popular Iftar staple as it is also considered refreshing and wholesome. Falooda has Persian origins, where it was called Faloodeh. Falooda is popular across many countries and has seen many variations. The sweet, fragrant tone of the rose syrup mixed with creamy ice cream spells ultimate indulgence. It is very easy to make at home and is just ideal for the scorching heat we are all struggling to come to terms with.
